Located at Crestwood Elementary School, our traditional camp program is designed for current elementary students entering 1st through 6th grades for the upcoming 2026-27 school year. To accommodate busy schedules, we offer convenient hours from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Each week features a unique theme packed with engaging activities like art, music, science, and games, plus favorites like swimming and snow cones. To round out the experience, every week also includes either an exciting field trip or a visit from a special guest speaker.

Funny how much fun you can have when you're learning to be funny! Learn comedy by doing it at Kids Comedy Camp! You'll master the secrets of stand-up, sketch, and improv comedy. Take home a new gag each day—rubber chickens, squirt rings, gag glasses! Perform a new comedy for your family each night! At week's end you'll display your newly enhanced confidence, creativity, performance skills and sense of humor in a show for family and friends.

What do you get when you combine theater and magic into 1 camp? Introducing... Magical Mystery Camp! Your kids will learn new magic tricks each day, often treating their parents to a nightly show! Campers will weave their tricks into a mystery show, which they will create and perform the last day for their families! Campers work on character development, acting, improv... In learning magic and theater, your kids will develop their presentation skill and confidence - while having a lot of fun in the process!

Enjoy outdoor education activities and archery! Students build tents, have a fishing derby, participate in orienteering, play yard games and practice archery. Students will learn about camping safety and how to be a responsible hunter and/or camper. Class is taught by PE teacher Mary Driemeyer and Scott Mulvaney. **We are offering afternoon camps (Invasion Games & Competitive Pursuit & Team Games) at Sappington so campers have the opportunity to stay all day and participate in more amazing activities. If students sign up for both morning and afternoon camps, lunch will be supervised.

Kids will invent their own superhero, design an original world, and create an action-packed story or mini-comic, building characters, powers, sidekicks, plot, and dialogue along the way. Short movement breaks keep energy high and minds focused, while writing exercises, drawing, and group storytelling help campers strengthen reading, writing, and comprehension skills. By the end, every child will have a completed story or comic to share!

Participants will engage in daily opportunities for writing, structured exploration, and team building. Your child will be involved in a variety of play-based writing experiences. They will explore various play stations, participate in community-building activities, and engage in multi-genre writing.

Taught by local art instructor, Todd Tevlin, this four day course will cover a variety of topics for ages 6-11, and will be voted on by the class. Choices will include How To Draw Pokemon, Minecraft, Cartoon Dragons, Cartoon Animals, Dogman, Captain Underpants, Teen Titans GO, and many more! All supplies included, and for all skill levels.

Fast paced group and small-sided games that focus on open space, offense, defense, and teamwork. In this Summer Fun Jewelry Camp, campers will design and create a variety projects including bracelets, necklaces, bookmarks, and even whimsical bubble wands. Using thousands of bright beads & charms campers will explore their creativity while learning simple jewelry-making and crafting techniques. Each project is inspired by carefree summer days think sunshine, bubbles, color, and imagination.

Our fun and unique program is specially designed for children in 1-5th grade. This curriculum incorporates karate, fun and fitness. Robinson's karate instructors teach basic blocks, punches and kicks while emphasizing a healthy attitude versus absolute precision. Karate can help children improve their focus and concentration and develop self-confidence through exciting and organized activities delivered in a supportive environment. Chess camps are the perfect way for new players to learn the game or for established players to deepen their understanding of the game. Aspiring top tier players can take on some intensive instruction. Trained chess club instructors provide daily lessons, puzzles and play to help guide students through each lesson. Instruction offers a solid basic foundation, emphasizing the fundamental skills needed to begin a lifetime of learning in chess including proper piece and board set-up, algebraic notation (chess language), and principles of play. Offered in partnership with the Saint Louis Chess Club.
