From sea creatures of the deep to phoenixes in the sky, every society has its legends and lore. We’ll tell their stories through paintings, sculptures and other works of art. Each day, kids learn about a different legend and create a unique art project based on that myth. These legends may inspire awe, curiosity or surprise, but they all inspire our imaginations! Let your imagination soar as you explore myths from diverse cultures and tell your own stories. Experiment with different art techniques using Crayola® supplies to bring your ideas to life. Each day is all about designing a one-of-a-kind mythical creature.

Learn how to take nature photographs in our beautiful outdoor spaces in this 5-day camp. Students will learn the basics of using a digital camera, develop their photography skills by taking pictures in the natural settings of our outdoor spaces and participate in a variety of photography projects using their own photos. Cameras will be provided for students to use.

A 1-day clinic for 13-year-olds and older on June 5. This summer, empower yourself with essential life-saving skills! Led by Certified Instructor and Whitfield science department teacher, Chris Sellers, this class is geared towards individuals aged 13 and up. This hands-on CPR/AED training camp welcomes individuals, friends and families to learn together in a supportive and interactive environment.

AI camp for rising 6-12 th graders. This in-person, 30-hour AI program hosted at Whitfield introduces students to today’s most powerful generative AI tools while guiding them to design and build an original AI application from scratch—focused on solving a social problem they care about. No programming or computer science background is required. Students are supported step-by-step using intuitive no-code platforms such as Lovable and Cursor, alongside hands-on exposure to modern Large Language Models, AI agents, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and context engineering.

Grab a camera and get ready to see the world through a brand new lens! Join Whitfield teacher Cara Foster in this hands-on camp! Young photographers will learn how to take control of a DSLR camera to snap amazing photos of the people, places, and little details that make up their everyday lives. You'll go beyond just clicking the shutter—campers will explore storytelling through images, play with composition, and learn cool tricks for editing photos using Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop. Whether you're shooting portraits of your friends, capturing the colors of nature, or styling your own creative still lifes, this camp is all about experimenting, creating, and having fun in a welcoming and collaborative environment. No experience needed—just bring your curiosity and your eye for the unexpected.

Open to all rising 6th-12th graders. Gear up for a transformative summer in the Whitfield Weight Room with Coach Shanea Miles as she leads athletes seeking to enhance their physical performance, build strength, and take their fitness to the next level. Whether you're a seasoned competitor or just starting your fitness journey, our camp is tailored to meet the needs of athletes across various sports.

Campers entering 5th–8th grade as of Fall 2026 are invited to our free Summer Camp Kick-Off Event. Campers and parents may stop by anytime during the event. This event is designed to help campers feel excited, prepared, and comfortable on campus before their summer camp experience. Attendees will enjoy light food and drinks, participate in a campus scavenger hunt while creating a summer swag bag with all their “bear necessities,” and meet other campers who may be attending the same camps. Parents will also have the opportunity to explore campus, ask questions, and ensure their daughter feels confident and ready for her week(s) at UA. Don’t miss out on the fun!
