This camp is designed for younger kids (ages 5 & 6) and is held Monday through Thursday, unless otherwise noted. No previous experience required! Learn the fundamentals of becoming an equestrian, and learn to lead, groom, and tack a horse using our very own small herd of miniature horses. Campers will also receive a pony ride on a full size horse that will be led by their instructor each day!

Little Ranchers Camp offers children between the ages of 6 and 10 a hands-on week with mother nature and farm critters. Campers will have hands on farming experiences such as being introduced to farm animals, gardening, learning about plants, and collecting eggs daily. Campers will also get the opportunity to ride horses 3 of the DAYS during the week of Little Ranchers Camp!

4-day (Tuesday-Friday or Monday-Thursday depending on the week) beginner horse riding camps for ages 7-14. Our staff of instructors stress safety, horsemanship and fun. In addition to horseback riding, each camper will learn how to groom, saddle, bathe, and care for a horse.

4-day horse riding camps for ages 7-14. Tuesday-Friday. Requirements: Control at a walk and trot; possibly canter. The ability to steer your horse efficiently at the walk and trot. The camper must have the desire to improve your western riding. You are eligible if you have taken the Manes & Tails Camp the previous summer or you are in our lesson program.

4-day horse riding camps for ages 7-14. Monday- Thursday. THIS IS NOT A JUMPING CAMP!!! Requirements: Must have taken Manes & Tails Camp previously! The camper has the desire to learn the basic techniques of English riding that is needed to advance towards the ability to jump. The ability to steer your horse efficiently at the walk and trot. You are also eligible if you are in our lesson program or already take English lessons.

5-day horse riding camp for ages 7-14. Monday – Friday. Requirements: Must have taken Hats & Chaps camp previously. Campers must be able to walk, trot and canter their horse confidently on the rail. Must be able to steer their horses efficiently at a walk, trot, and canter. If you are unsure if you qualify for this camp please ask your instructor.

Experience learning at Duke. During these on-campus programs, students enjoy an unforgettable academic experience. They study and learn in Duke academic buildings, eat in world-class dining facilities, and visit significant locations throughout campus and the surrounding area. Students will have an unforgettable experience as they build connections with peers from around the world and learn from Duke Ph.D. and graduate students, as well as industry experts.

Summer Studios is a week-long program that offers teens the opportunity to cultivate technical skills in art and design with emphasis on problem solving, designing, communicating and creating. Students will engage in two studio classes, with choices available in both art and design disciplines, as well as in seminars led by industry professionals and college faculty. Students have access to the Frederick Hart Studio Museum to practice figurative drawing as well as the Belmont Mansion, where they learn about historic preservation in architecture. This program provides a rigorous art and design school experience, with students engaging in critiques as they work toward an exhibition at the conclusion of the program. Students have the option to engage in the full college experience by staying in Belmont's dorms and eating in our dining hall for the week. We will provide evening programming for all students staying on campus, including a field trip to local botanical garden and art museum, Cheekwood.
