Campers deepen their drawing, painting, and sculpture skills as we develop images and ideas in each art form. We learn key formal skills, such as scale and color mixing as we work with a multitude of media, such as watercolor, acrylic, charcoal, pastel, plaster, and wire. We also learn how various artistic mediums relate to one another and the importance of a well-rounded studio practice. Artist Toolbox concludes with campers bringing home the work they created.

Using beginner storytelling and filmmaking skills, campers come together to turn an animated classic into an action packed live action short film. From Animation to Live Action concludes with families receiving a digital link of their camper's work sent the week following camp. Art and technology supplies and equipment used are included in the price.

Campers split their time between making and decorating delicious desserts, such as cupcakes and ice cream, and creating art inspired by food. Influenced by artists like Claes Oldenburg and Wayne Thiebaud as well as their own baking, campers explore drawing, painting, and sculpture as they develop their art. Along the way, they learn about kitchen safety and practice basic skills like measuring and following directions. Information about food restrictions or allergies must be provided to COCA during the registration process or by contacting the Registration Office by email at least two weeks prior to camp. Campers should have their hair pulled back. All culinary and grocery as well as art materials included in price.

Explore some of the world’s best-loved ballets using movement, art, books, and stories. Campers learn simple ballet steps to classic ballet music, such as Coppélia, Swan Lake, and Sleeping Beauty, and get inspired by books like Firebird and Boys Dance. We make simple costumes, art projects, and props related to our favorite ballet stories. Ballet Stories concludes with campers bringing home the work they created. Campers are expected to be fully toilet trained and use the toilet independently. Features multiple professional teaching artists to present a variety of arts disciplines.

It's never too early to imagine being on Broadway! We explore music and movement from some of Broadway's most beloved musicals, such as The Lion King and Frozen. Then, we reimagine the themes and stories through our own visual art creations. Broadway Stars concludes with campers bringing home the work they created. Campers are expected to be fully toilet trained and use the toilet independently. Features multiple professional teaching artists to present a variety of arts disciplines.

Join us on an adventure through Molasses Swamp and the Gumdrop Mountains to Candy Castle in this camp inspired by the beloved game. Campers create their own characters, stories, and lands to explore while they make candy mosaics and graham cracker "gingerbread" houses. Candy Land concludes with campers bringing home the work they created. Campers are expected to be fully toilet trained and use the toilet independently. Engage the hyperdrive and make the creative jump! Campers explore the elements of the Star Wars universe. We create our own characters (be they clones, aliens, or Jedi) to create a collective story from our own imaginations. Campers create backdrops and props to support our story. May the force be with us! Clones, Aliens & Jedi concludes with families receiving a digital link to their camper's work the week following camp. Features multiple professional teaching artists to present a variety of arts disciplines.

Campers learn about arts marketing as they create materials to support the work of their performing peers. They meet with the creative team for input then collaboratively design a social media campaign and learn to conceptualize, film, edit, and post video ads. Everything they successfully build is considered to be a part of the marketing plan. Art and technology supplies and equipment use included in price.

Aug 10 - 14, 2026 9:00am - 11:45am | Ages: 6 - 7
This is a great introductory camp for beginning dancers interested in energetic movement. Campers learn dance steps in jazz and hip-hop and work on spacing, rhythm, and musicality. We then use what we learn in dynamic choreography. We even develop a few steps of our own to include in our final presented piece. Dance Dance Dance concludes with an in-person performance for family and friends during the final 20 minutes of camp. No special shoes or dancewear required.

Campers explore the fundamentals of drawing the popular manga style used in Pokémon and Astro Boy. They learn how to draw facial expressions, hands, fabric folds, and forms while developing their own characters and stories. They learn to develop stories in narrative panels and ink their images. They conclude the camp with images to frame or put together in a story to form a comic book to take home once camp has ended.

Campers create and embellish clothing, accessories and doll outfits in this fashion camp. Campers learn fabric painting, cutting, tying, dyeing and beading techniques, then use these skills to make and decorate items such as doll clothes, T-shirts, and bags. Some basic sewing and no-sew techniques are explored. Fashion First concludes with campers bringing home the work they created.

Using COCA's outdoor areas to their fullest, campers explore STEAM concepts in our brilliant backyard. They create art that flies—windcatchers, kites, and pinwheels—as we explore the science of flight. They paint and decorate beautiful birdhouses as we observe and study local species and habitats. Fly Away concludes with campers bringing home the work they created.

Health conscious campers have fun creating a variety of delicious fresh fruit smoothies and adapting favorite snack recipes into healthy versions. They split their time between the kitchen and the studio as they also enjoy energetic hip-hop and jazz dance steps, work on musicality, spacing, and more. Health Moves concludes with an in-person performance during the final 20 minutes of camp. Campers explore a variety of styles of illustration including character creation, manga, collage, digital design, and paint that show up in games that they enjoy. They apply their artwork to create games they can take home to play and cards to trade with their friends. Illustrating Games Cards Puzzles & Pieces concludes with campers bringing home the work they created.
