Designed for beginning dancers, this camp offers an introduction to tap and jazz. Each day, campers warm up and explore rhythm, dance steps, and energetic choreography. They explore texture, shape, and color as they repurpose objects and materials to create sculptural and collage works of recycled art. There are limitless possibilities when you learn to sew and craft with yarn! Campers focus on utilizing their hands and plastic/non-sharp needles in this introduction to knitting and weaving. Students create pom poms, coasters, bracelets, and "critters" to decorate their rooms as they practice weaving, sewing, braiding, and tying. Yarning & Darning concludes with campers bringing home the work they created.
