Join us for an exciting, four-week theater experience designed for young actors of all skill levels! The first two weeks feature Grand Theater: Middle School Edition, covering the fundamentals of acting, improvisation, and devising new work. In the following two weeks, students can elevate their skills with Grand Theater: Middle School Advanced Edition, focusing on audition techniques, advanced scene work, and insights into the professional theater world. Each camp experience includes opportunities to create original work, explore scripted scenes, and build ensemble connections. Master classes, such as stage combat, will enhance the learning experience, with professional theater artists guiding students through workshops. Metro Theater Company and Saint Louis University provide a welcoming environment where young actors can thrive, whether they are just starting or ready to advance their craft. Each week culminates in a performance for family and friends, showcasing what students explored during the camp. Lunch will be provided daily by SLU dining. Register for all four weeks of Middle School and Middle School Advanced camp for $1,130 and take advantage of this comprehensive theater journey!

Billiken Breakthrough: College Discovery Camp is an educationally-based fun and interactive 3-day summer program to introduce the concept of transitioning to college after high school for teenagers who may have never even considered college as an achievable option in the first place. Backed by the SLU Prison Education Program and Occupational Therapy program, this camp is targeted to reach youth at risk of becoming involved with the justice system and provide them with occupation-based intervention and educational activities to increase occupational engagement, empower their futures, and equip them with the skills necessary to successfully seek higher education or postsecondary pursuits. Participants will engage in a variety of hands-on activities, mentorship, and peer-to-peer support. Ultimately, the goal of Billiken Breakthrough is to empower at-risk youth to envision and work toward a brighter, more secure future.

Sherwood Forest serves children from low-income households and underserved communities in Missouri and Illinois, who live at or below the federal poverty line. We strive to establish and sustain long-term relationships with our campers, their families, and the agencies and schools that serve them. By balancing traditional camp adventures with evidence-based programs that reinforce and support school-year learning, Sherwood Forest connects with, educates, and inspires the youth of St. Louis.
