Yo Hoy, Mateys! Walk the plank with us as you learn what it takes to become a real pirate! We will do pirate related activities all while learning how to be a performer. Culminating in a performance at the end of the week.

Explore the variety of content and personalities that exist on YouTube and how to find your own niche. Learn the Dos and Don’ts of the platform and how to practice good digital citizenship. Develop your on-camera presence, your own channel branding, and professional editing skills. Take home a plan for launching your own channel with the content created in class! Student projects will be available on a password-protected Black Rocket website to share with friends and family. Students will work in pairs or teams for most of the program.

Stage Storm: K-Pop Edition is a high-energy camp where students learn the basics of theatrical performance through singing, dancing, and storytelling inspired by K-Pop Demon Hunters. Campers will build performance skills, learn choreography and songs from the show, and work as an ensemble to bring the material to life. The week culminates in a fun, high-impact showcase performance for family and friends.

Are you ready to trek down under to the country and continent of Australia? In this art camp, we will paint and decorate our own boomerangs, learn about the Aboriginal people and their influence on the culture of Australia, and compare the Australian Bush with the deserts in our country. We will look for similarities and differences in both environments. We will create a 3D sculpture, drawings of giant insects, landscapes of the Australian Bush, and Aboriginal dot paintings.

Shiver me timbers! Travel with Jack and Annie as they meet Polly the Parrot and Captain Bones in the Caribbean Sea. Will they find treasure? Learn about their adventure and if pirates really do exist! Book and research guide provided.

Join us as we look into what it takes to be an actor onstage! We will learn all of the basics of acting and improv, culminating in a performance of monologues, scripted scenes, and improv games at the end of the week. Final performance on Friday will be in the Conoyer Hall Auditorium.
