The Southern Illinois University Carbondale School of Architecture LEGO Camps is excited to announce LEGO Mindstorms EV3 has arrived! Combining the versatility of the LEGO building system with the most advanced technology LEGO has developed, unleash the creative powers of the new LEGO Mindstorms EV3 set to create and command robots that walk, talk, think, and do anything you can imagine. Instructors will assist in the step-by-step 3D building instructions to create TRACK3R, R3PTAR, SPIK3R, EV3RSTORM, and GRIPP3R and bring them to life with an easy, intuitive, and icon-based programming interface. Students will use the remote control and take on challenging ready-made missions or they can download the free app and command their robot using their own smart device. The LEGO Mindstorms EV3 robot revolution has begun!

The Drum Major Camp is designed for students who will be the drum major at their high school in the fall and for those who aspire to be a drum major.

Nursing Career Camp is a 3-day camp tailored for juniors and seniors in high school, aspiring to pursue a nursing career. Preference is given to students currently in a CNA or health occupation program

Get ready for an action-packed adventure filled with sports, games, and endless fun at the SIU Recreation Center! Our camp is designed for kids who love to move, play, and make new friends in a safe and exciting environment.

The camp culminates with a flight in SIU flight training devices and/or aircraft (weather permitting). The camp runs Tuesday through Friday with camp activities beginning at 8:30 am and ending at 4:30 pm. Each session includes lunch.

Create unique wearable art such as pins, necklace, crown, stamped leather belt, and custom printed tee shirts, and more. We look at artists who focus on wearable items.

Learn both hand sewing and to use sewing machine to create felt stuffed sculptures. You can make a pillow, animal, cartoon, or use your imagination and create a mythical creature. We will design on paper, create a pattern, sew, and build. After our sculptures are assembled, we will embellish with fabric paints, buttons, embroidery and appliqué techniques.

Join the wildest dance adventure at our Paws, Claws, and Pirouettes, where little movers will leap, twirl, and pounce like their favorite animal characters! Inspired by movies like The Lion King, Encanto, and Zootopia, campers will dance to fun, upbeat songs and explore animalinspired movements, from lion roars to bunny hops to graceful elephant twirls. With playful choreography, animal-themed games, and opportunities for imaginative role play, kids will feel like they're part of the animal kingdom or a magical world. Whether they're shaking it like the Zootopia crew, dancing with the Dalmatians, or soaring through the sky with Dumbo, this camp is packed with energy, creativity, and endless fun for every little dancer!

Your cheerleader will learn to dance, stunt, and tumble in this high energy camp. Campers will be treated to a daily jazz and acro class before working on stunts, jumps, and cheer motions. At the end of the week, they'll be ready to hit the side line. Go Team!
