Create robots using basic computer programming, principles of simple and complex machines, gearing and your own creativity. A perfect blend of math, science and fun! Calling all PokéMasters who want to be the designers of the future! Use your Pokémon® imagination and bring your ideas to life. Begin by creating your own digital, Pokémon®-style custom-playing card game. Progress to designing action figures, jewelry, and toys in professional-level modeling software. Learn how to prepare a model for 3D printing and create a design portfolio to showcase your work! No prior experience is necessary, and 3D designs will be available on a password-protected Black Rocket website to share with friends and family. Students will work in pairs or teams for most of the program.

In this half-day camp, young artists will explore Picasso’s bold shapes, expressive colors, and imaginative portraits while creating their own unique masterpieces inspired by his art. Campers will experiment with drawing, painting, and mixed media as they learn about Picasso’s creative journey and how he changed the art world forever. Through hands-on projects, fun challenges, and guided art discussions, students will develop their artistic skills and discover new ways to see the world—just like Picasso did!

Calling all animal lovers and young artists! Join us for a week of combining our love of pets with the joy of art. Campers will learn how to draw, paint, and sculpt their favorite animals using a variety of mediums. Campers will explore techniques for capturing personality and expression in their artwork while learning about color mixing, proportion and composition. Bring a photo of your pet or choose a favorite animal to focus on. Create a special piece to take home and treasure. Friday will be an art show for the family to attend!

Step back in time at Jurassic Journey camp, where young paleontologists can dig into the world of dinosaurs. Excavate dinosaur bones, study fossils, play dino games, create dinosaur works of art, and explore life as a T-Rex!

Rehearse and perform a cabaret-style show of some of the best songs in musical theatre! We will do our performance on the last day of camp, including some small and large group numbers.

To round out the experience, every week also includes either an exciting field trip or a visit from a special guest speaker.

Pulling Rabbits out of Hats and other Animal Tricks! Magically produce a rabbit (made of sponge—you have to start somewhere)! Vanish an elephant! Change a chicken into a goat! These are just a few of the fun animal tricks you’ll learn in Abra-Kid-Abra’s new magic class! You’ll get your own magic box and new tricks to perform each class! Participate in a family show the last class! You’ll also learn about all the animals that we do tricks with. (None are live.) Goals are to develop presentation skills and build confidence. Tricks are new from previous camps and classes. If you like animals or magic, this class is for you! Offered in partnership with Abra-Kid-Abra.
