Campers of all skill levels are welcome, even those new to chess. Learn tactics and strategies through lessons and puzzles, culminating in a chess tournament.

Are you ready to be a Marker STEMINIST? Campers will explore a variety of areas of science through hands on learning and a variety of activities at the STEM Camp. The areas of science we will explore during the week include: the five senses, force and motion, the sun and sky, and life science and chemistry. Spend time learning about how science finds you in your every day life!

Mystery Spy & Detective Camp is an immersive, hands-on adventure where campers become junior detectives and undercover agents for the week. Each day, campers will work in age-appropriate teams to crack codes, analyze evidence, and solve exciting mysteries. Activities include fingerprinting, secret messages, disguise challenges, scavenger hunts, surveillance games, and logic puzzles—all designed to build critical thinking, teamwork, and confidence while having a blast. Campers will sharpen their observation skills, learn how to think like real detectives, and complete daily “missions” that lead up to a final Case Closed! celebration at the end of the week. Younger campers are guided through playful investigations, while older campers tackle more advanced puzzles and problem-solving challenges. Perfect for curious minds, imaginative thinkers, and kids who love a good mystery, this camp combines creativity, STEM-based thinking, and high-energy fun in a safe, supportive environment.

Miss Manners might not approve, but your child definitely will! Super Gross Science camp is a week of learning about our gross bodily functions. Burping, boogers, excrement, gas, saliva, germs and how our brain, cells, heart, organs and blood contribute to this.

We will focus on chemical reactions, observation, and experimentation. Campers will explore reactions through experiments such as vinegar rockets and bubble races.

Welcome to our Aviation Adventure Camp! Embark on a thrilling journey into the world of aviation, where young enthusiasts in grades 6-8 explore the skies. From learning about aircraft mechanics, aerodynamics, and navigation, campers will experience the excitement of aviation firsthand. Our expert instructors will guide participants through interactive workshops and inspiring guest lectures. Whether your child dreams of becoming a pilot or engineer or simply have a passion for flight, our camp fosters curiosity, skill development, and lifelong memories in the dynamic realm of aviation.

Mad Science of St. Louis camps at Crestwood Community Center invite children ages 5–12 to dive into science through exciting, hands-on experiments and adventures led by energetic, trained instructors. Campers explore a variety of fun science themes — from rockets, robots, chemistry, and space to nature, inventions, and detective-style experiments — in a setting designed for curiosity and discovery. With daily activities that spark wonder, imagination, and excitement about the world around them, kids enjoy full-day or half-day camp sessions. Hosted at Crestwood Community Center, these camps offer a lively, community-center environment where children can learn, play, and grow their passion for science.

The camp culminates with a flight in SIU flight training devices and/or aircraft (weather permitting). The camp runs Tuesday through Friday with camp activities beginning at 8:30 am and ending at 4:30 pm. Each session includes lunch.

Ninjas will turn photos into full videos, experiment with special effects, and design custom music using the tools in YouTube's Al Playground. They will also use Al to spark video ideas, plan scripts, and invent scenes that would be impossible to film in real life. Throughout the week, creators learn smart, safe, and responsible ways to use Al as a tool while practicing camera skills, storytelling, and editing techniques. Lights, camera, imagination: it is time to create something amazing.

Welcome to Roblox Advanced - a fun-filled camp for experienced Roblox game builders ready to elevate their game-making prowess! Using Lua programming language, ninjas will create their own thrilling timed, sudden-death Roblox game, plus an engaging interactive obstacle course. This hands-on exploration not only enhances their technical skills but also fuels their creativity as they bring unique game concepts to life. Ninjas will enjoy a dynamic and collaborative environment, where they can showcase their innovative games, test and play their peers' creations, and even publish their masterpieces to the global Roblox community. Roblox experience is required to attend!

This camp is the ultimate playground for kids who dream of altering and enhancing their Minecraft worlds. Ninjas will transform Minecraft Java Edition into a personalized adventure by harnessing the power of MCreator to craft their own incredible mods. They'll create custom elements like ore, blocks, ingot, crafting recipes, weapons, armor, potions, custom biomes... the list goes on. And yes, it even includes nuclear TNT! Ninjas will also get hands-on experience with Blockbench and learn how to code procedures in MCreator with block language. Time to turn those modding visions into reality!
