Ever wondered what it’s like to act on TV or in a movie? This fun and beginner-friendly class introduces students to the basics of acting for the camera! We’ll learn how to work with scripts, hit marks, and perform naturally on screen—skills every on-camera actor needs to know. Through improvisation, scene work, and on-camera exercises, students will explore how acting for TV and film is different from the stage and even get to watch and learn from their own performances. Whether you’re a returning student or trying acting for the first time, this class is a great place to learn, play, and build confidence in front of the camera.

Putting these energetic creations on their feet, we discover ways to revise and refine skills in both writing and acting. Hurry! There is no time to waste! A Play a Day concludes with an in-person performance for family and friends during the final 20 minutes of camp. Arts4ALL Musical Theatre is a joyful, inclusive class designed specifically for neurodiverse students and those who benefit from additional support. Through music, movement, and storytelling, students will explore musical theatre in a safe, structured, and affirming environment. This program celebrates every student’s unique voice and strengths, culminating in a low-pressure, confidence-building sharing opportunity for families. Peer buddies from our broader Ignite Theatre community participate weekly to model, encourage, and connect. Family involvement is welcomed and encouraged, especially during the first weeks of class or as needed throughout the session.
