What happens when a 21st-century Alice enters Lewis Carroll’s Wonderland? Join STAGES St. Louis for a modern retelling featuring the Mad Hatter, White Rabbit, Queen of Hearts, Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, and Alice herself in a fun, imaginative adventure for all in this performance-based camp.

Campers will experience the magic of theatre and self-expression while being on stage and using props and costumes.

This 3 hour drop off program includes dinner and an evening of fun for ages 6 - 10. Discover predator and prey relationships right here at TNI. Play games, practice your predatory instincts, and show off your prey defenses.

Summer theater kids will be excited to participate in the world of Minecraft at StagePlay Learning! Explore the strange, supernatural and comedy of the characters and themes of Minecraft through group work and improv theater games. Daily crafts will magically turn into props and sets for our Final Showcase Performance. This creative camp creates opportunities for young theater performers to write and collaborate while learning Life Skills through Theater Skills.

The Young Wizards Magic Academy is a two week summer course for aspiring magicians ages 8 to 17 who want to immerse themselves in the exciting world of the magical arts. The program brings together participants of various backgrounds who will build camaraderie and develop friendships as they learn mind-bending techniques and tricks. They will leave class each day endeavoring to practice, perfect and perform magic! The academy is designed for eager learners who want to build a strong beginner’s repertoire of tricks and begin performing right away. The curriculum emphasizes creative thinking, problem-solving and interpersonal skills. Even if the participants don’t pursue a future career in the magical arts, they will develop lifelong skills that will give them an edge in any setting or industry.

It's funny how much fun you can have when you're learning to be funny! Learn comedy by doing it at Kids Comedy Camp! You'll master the secrets of stand-up, sketch and improv comedy as well as theatrics. Take home a new gag to get laughs with each day! At week's end, you'll display your newly enhanced focus, creativity, confidence, teamwork, performance skills and sense of humor in a show for family and friends.

Step into the spotlight this summer! Our camp invites young performers to experience the magic and creativity of Broadway. Students learn iconic songs and high-energy choreography from beloved shows—building confidence, technique, and a deeper appreciation for musical theatre.

Drama and art team up for this fun fine arts camp. Youth receive basic instruction in creative dramatics, scripting, beginning improvisation, set design and construction using various arts and crafts media. All projects will come together in a play for participants' families on Friday evening.

The secret work of Minecraft comes to life as actors create, explore and survive anything that comes their way. Campers will not only build their Minecraft world, thy will build theater skills through creative play and imagination. Cook a lava chicken, defeat the creepers, or mine a more peaceful path.

Calling all rising 5th-8th grade actors! Be a part of the magic of theater! Led by Whitfield drama teacher Mary Schnitzler, campers will explore the world of creative theater and learn the magic of telling stories on stage. Students will engage in dramatic games to spark creativity and develop collaboration as well as work on scripts to refine performing arts skills such as brainstorming, rehearsing, and developing interesting characters. This class is open to students regardless of experience level. The camp will culminate in a showcase of scenes.

Join us at StagePlay Learning Summer Theater Camp as we explore wizards, witches, and magic. Explore the adventures of Elphaba, Glinda, the Wizard and Fiyero through creative and interactive theater games, all presented in our Final Showcase Performance. Join with friends to create your own characters and stories of Wicked through collaborative writing and monologue development. Daily craft activities are inspired by and incorporated into our Performances.

Levitate a person! Cause a dollar to fold 3 times by itself! Float a spoon right off the table! These are just a few of the tricks you will learn. You’ll get your own magic box out of which you can perform new tricks to show your family each day. Plus, you’ll also learn comedy skits, balloon art, magic puzzles, and lots more! Camp culminates with the campers putting on a family show. The goals are to develop presentation skills, build confidence, and have fun! Tricks are new from our previous 3 years.

Mind read someone’s birthday! Produce the 14 of Diamonds! Multiply coins! Learn these and many other magic tricks while honing your math skills. The tricks for this camp are math-based! You’ll learn magic with money, cards, paper, and special magic props you’ll take home. The students put on a show for their families on the last day. Animal balloons, clown skits, and team-building activities round out this fun half-day camp. The goals are to develop presentation skills and confidence, build math skills, and have fun!

Disney’s Newsies JR. is a 60-minute version of the 2012 Broadway musical, based on the 1992 film. Inspired by the rousing true story of newsboys in turn-of-the-century New York City, Newsies JR. features a Tony Award-winning score by Alan Menken and Jack Feldman and a book by Tony Award winner Harvey Fierstein. When powerful newspaper publishers raise prices at the newsboys’ expense, the charismatic Jack Kelly rallies newsies from across the city to strike against the unfair conditions. Together, the newsies learn that they are stronger united and create a movement to fight for what’s right. Including the now-classic songs “Carrying the Banner,” “Seize the Day,” and “Santa Fe,” Newsies JR. is a timeless story full of spirit and heart. This week-long camp concludes with a fully staged public performance for family and friends on Friday, August 7 at 5pm & 7:30pm. THIS CAMP WILL BE ONE CAST FROM THOSE ENROLLED AGES 9-19

Campers explore a range of acting approaches and techniques designed to enhance their "toolkit" when approaching a character. They work on strategies to approach acting text, movement, physicality, and voice/speech. Through their work, they learn different methods for creating characters that captivate audiences and draw them into the world of the play. Actor's Toolbox concludes with a performance for family and friends during the final 20 minutes of camp.
