Have you ever wondered how they turn actors into zombies, or how prosthetics are made? How about creating a fake bruise, making yourself 80 years old, or turning yourself into a creature? In this summer camp, students will learn and practice the fundamentals of special effects theatrical makeup to create characters. Campers will learn and practice old age makeup, cuts and bruises, simple prosthetics, and more! Registration and camp costs include a professional stage makeup kit for each student.

The stage is set for an awesome summer theater performance. Join local instructors, Nicki Hansley & Danielle Schnable for our summer camp performance. You'll be blown away by the performance our kids and instructors put together in only one week! The Mini Camp program provides children the opportunity to learn about different sports and activities in an organized, safe, and supervised setting. The program’s goal is to challenge and delight the capacities of the participating children in order to fulfill their unique potential in each of the Mini Camp programs that they choose to attend.

At the Do Art acting Camp, each day we will dive into a different emotion and visual cue. Through random ideas in a hat, we will act out improv scenarios, and utilize different emotions and expressions. By the end, everyone will have a whole repertoire of acting tools to not only utilize the tone of our voice, as well as hand gestures and silent body movements to enhance our dialogue. All art supplies are included. No experience necessary.
