Prepare for a night of sharing and creating memories together at Sew Hope!

Let’s go on an adventure across the North American continent to explore multi-cultural cuisine. What better way to spend a week this summer in a fun, exciting class learning how to cook delicious meals? In our state-of-the-art kitchen, young chefs will enjoy lots of culinary action and tasty delights of United States cuisine. This camp will help you learn about measuring ingredients, how to follow a recipe, gardening and harvesting, and how to make healthy choices in food preparation. Every recipe is a creation and every creation an adventure! Chef Margaret Grant will guide you through this culinary experience. Any allergies or dietary restrictions will be taken into account for every recipe used, ensuring that the experience is healthy and fun for all!

Students will be cooking with nature in this 5-day camp. Learn about the plants we have in our gardens, how to grow them and use them to make delicious dishes. We will explore our native Missouri plants and learn about their medicinal uses, hunt for wild edibles and learn about chickens. Only hungry kids need apply!

Jump through the calendar from holiday to holiday making and baking some favorite holiday treats! From homemade marshmallow friends for Easter to American flag cakes to Christmas cookie classics!

Rising 1st-6th Graders (as of Fall 2024). Each day of this weeklong camp, we will visit a "foodie" destination around St. Louis, so be sure to bring your appetite and sweet tooth!

Step up and become a culinary master! Immerse yourself with advanced cooking techniques, tools of the trade, basic etiquette, nutrition, safety and even some kitchen math. Growing gourmets will be making delectable delights from breakfast to dinner. A CD of all recipes and cooking information will be given to all masterchefs. Aprons provided. Bring a water bottle each day and wear closed toed shoes. Prerequisite: Must have taken Kids in the Kitchen or have prior kitchen experience.

Summer Interludes are offered Monday through Friday, beginning at 8am and ending at 4pm each day. Breakfast, lunch and snack are served daily and are prepared with painstaking care and of the finest culinary standards — organic, locally sourced, seasonal, and made from scratch.
