The Allsup Entrepreneurship Academy at Saint Louis University's Chaifetz School of Business offers high school students the opportunity to learn about entrepreneurship, grow their business skills and develop entrepreneurial ideas each summer. Presented by the SLU Chaifetz Center for Entrepreneurship, the camp connects participants with fellow entrepreneurial high school students from around the region, SLU students and some of St. Louis' most successful entrepreneurs while competing in a pitch competition.

This camp will explore the United Nations, a body founded after the Second World War to “save succeeding generations from the scourge of war.” Using a variety of active learning techniques, students will learn about some of the world’s most pressing challenges. Each student will represent a state in the United Nations Security Council, conduct research from that state’s perspective on a specific issue, and draft a Security Council resolution. On the last day of the camp, students will debate and vote on the draft resolutions in a simulation.

G.R.I.T. Business Academy is a project based two (2) week-long "business boot camp" where middle and high school youth learn skills such as entrepreneurship, marketing, and economics from licensed business educators and experienced business owners. During the first week, the students are engaged in the needed instruction to run a successful business. The students are also provided a snack and time to interact with their peers and mentors. During the last week of the academy, students use the skills they have learned in their own mock businesses. Each group of students are responsible for each part of running their businesses including pitching their business plan to receive funding, creating a budget for business, marketing their businesses, and more!

Join this class to learn about all aspects of the judicial system including the need for a prosecuting attorney, a court-appointed defense lawyer, and about courtroom etiquette including dress and speaking out. There will be a mock trial that is youth-friendly to expose students to all avenues of the judicial system. We will work hand-in-hand with a current judge who will help guide the students through this journey. (Ages 15-19)
