Are you ready to give field hockey a try? Former player and club coach Jessica Farris and high school varsity coach Nancy Schmer will teach beginning field hockey skills to rising first through third graders.

You will learn the fundamentals of field hockey. Campers will have the opportunity to work with High School Coaches and Varsity Field Hockey Players. We will have individual instruction and small games.

Girls entering grades 3-9 in the fall of 2025 are invited to field hockey camp. Please bring field hockey equipment and water. Camp will take place regardless of weather conditions – please bring indoor tennis shoes in case of inclement weather.

Whether you’re just starting or looking to sharpen advanced techniques, this camp offers something for everyone!

Our Junior Prep Camp offers girls entering 1st – 8th grades a fantastic opportunity to get out and play some summer field hockey!

With 18 Final Four appearances in the last 20 years, the Cor Jesu Coaching Staff and players will teach the basic skills and core components of field hockey that have been the secret to their success.

Campers will learn the fundamentals of field hockey through drills and game situations. Players of all skill levels improve their techniques, develop a better understanding of the game and prepare for the upcoming season.

What: Skills, dribbling, passing, shooting and game scenarios. Players need to bring shin guards, running shoes, mouth guard, field hockey stick, and a water bottle. Cleats if they would like. Please make sure to have a large water bottle that is already filled.

Our Athletic Camps will run throughout June and July with options for most grade levels.

Celebrating 50 years! Champ Camp was founded in 1975 by National Field Hockey Coaches Association Hall of Fame Coach Debby Watson and has been providing excellent training and lasting memories ever since as it moved to the MICDS campus under the direction of Lynn Mittler. The camp is structured on the principles of instruction and play, offering players a great opportunity to be coached by top high school coaches and current college players. A mix of technical training and scrimmaging allows players to learn and try out their new skills. Utilizing the field dedicated for the exclusive use of women’s field hockey, campers train on our water turf field to facilitate the speed of skill execution on an optimal surface.

JBS coaches offer a variety of opportunities for young athletes to hone their skills. Times: 2:00pm-4:00pm (May 30) & 8:30am-11:00am (May 31)
