What’s more, each class includes a make and take-home project, like a fossil reproduction, an amber time capsule, and coins from around the world!

Step into the shoes of a detective as you uncover the science involved in evidence gathering and analysis! Figure out the science of forensics in a hands-on look at crime scenes! Become a super spy and learn clever ways of performing tasks as we take a hands-on investigation of the science that spies use!

Discover the inspiring artworks and artists who have changed the world of art, and the world as we know it - from Frida Kahlo’s self-portraits to Keith Haring’s street art. Experiment with art techniques, and use Crayola® art supplies to express your ideas. Design a different unique, artist-inspired creation each class. Create the change you want to see in the world!

Please note: When registering for this camp, campers will attend the full day, both morning and afternoon.

Before-care (7 am - 9 am) and after care (3 pm - 6 pm) is available for this camp. There is no charge for before care. After-care is $100 for the entire week.

Little medical school brings medicine, science, and the importance of health to children in an entertaining, exciting, and fun way. Students will explore how the body works and the brain thinks. They will partake in the delight of hearing a real heartbeat, and best of all, will practice tying knots like a surgeon! In addition, each child will receive their own stethoscope, lab coat, and will be given the opportunity to make a model of the brain. Most importantly, our programs aim to inspire children to aspire for careers in healthcare upon completion of the course.

Little Wilderness School brings medicine, science and the importance of health to children in an entertaining, exciting and fun way. Our program will teach children about some of the dangers in the wild and how to safely handle a medical situation. For example, students will learn about snake bites, hypothermia, how to tie a tourniquet, splint a broken leg, filter dirty water, 20 uses of a bandana and how to treat bug bites. Our classes are led by a trained Little Medical School instructor. Each child receives a diploma, disposable lab coat, LMS bandana, thermal blanket and so much more.

Introducing our 2022 program, Explore! Give your young innovator an unforgettable adventure! All-new, hands-on activities will launch their imagination and get their confidence soaring as they explore STEM fun from the oceans to outer space. Read more about what your camper will do each day at camp: PROBLEM SOLVING Campers create a habitat for their own robotic fish — complete with a symbiotic friend — and prototype the next great aquatic innovation to lure in and hook investors at the fish market. CONFIDENCE Inspired by real space exploration, children construct a Spacepack, engineer an Astro-Arm device, complete gravity-defying cooking challenges, mine asteroids and observe erupting ice volcanoes. CREATIVITY Making exciting connections between science and art, campers build their own robotic artist to make awesome spin art and discover how inventions have changed the way people create. PERSISTENCE Children experiment with the fun of physics and engineering when they build and test their own mega marble arcade, then take on collaborative challenges to level up their design thinking.

The on-campus Acting Studio program introduces you to a pre-professional theater intensive and reflects the training in the Emerson BFA Acting Program. The four-week program, which qualifies for four college credits, offers an introduction to acting training including classes in voice, movement, improvisation, scene study, auditioning technique / monologues, and specialized classes such as Shakespeare or Alexander.

The Politics, Activism, and Leadership Institute (PAL) is for high school students who wish to understand how communication is at the heart of politics, activism and leadership in a democratic society. The Institute is focused on a number of important issues, including, community activism, social justice, civic engagement, public service, scandal/crisis management, speechwriting, grassroots organizing, and communicating with the media. You will be encouraged to “find your voice” through the various activities, seminars, guest speakers, and field trips. Whether you’re interested in what takes place behind the scenes or in front of an audience, the Institute rests upon the belief that young people can be active agents within your communities, and serve as ambassadors and advocates for various causes and issues. PAL is offered as a noncredit program.

Musical Theatre Studio introduces you to the rigors of Emerson's nationally renowned undergraduate BFA training in musical theater. The 5-week program, eligible for four college credits, focuses on technique-based training in skill development for singing, acting, dance and song interpretation and reflects on the training in the Emerson BFA Musical Theatre Program, which emphasizes process. The priority is not on performance or production, but on the fundamentals, vocabulary and discipline of the craft. Preparation for college admission auditions will also be addressed.
