TEACH-Her

We offer 3 evening programs for middle and high school male and female youth during the summer which include TEACH-HER/TEACH-HIM and TEACH-HER Beauty Project. Over the course of 8 weeks your youth learn from various entrepreneurs and educators who will teach business acumen, transferable and marketable life skills, and provide support with ideas of how to start a business. Some of the areas and skills taught are graphic design, plumbing, cooking, boutique startup, public speaking, goal setting, photography, cosmetology, fitness, financial literacy, developing positive relationships, and more.The lessons are interactive, engaging, and cover many areas of STEAM. The youth in TEACH-Her/TEACH-Him will also create businesses and be able to earn a profit from products. Our organization also offers mentorship and provides high school level youth opportunities to earn community service hours thru our partnership with The Korey Johnson Foundation. We have also collaborated with local cosmetology schools and salons to provide an educational precursor to cosmetology school and all things beauty and self care in the TEACH-Her Beauty Project. TEACH-Her Beauty sessions will focus on Enrollment Requirements, Active Listening/Communication, Business Startup, Developing Positive Relationships, Services Offered, Income Potential, and Branding. Each program will meet either on a Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday evening from 5-8pm to accommodate the working parent, and lasts 7-8 weeks starting in June and ending in July. The program costs vary depending on program of choice. Financial aid is not available at this time, however, if acquired, it will be allocated towards resources or tuition. We will provide a schedule of all programming dates and locations upon registration. SUMMER 2019 WAS AMAZING AND SUMMER 2020 WILL BE EVEN GREATER!
