Boys & Girls Clubs of Alton is led by passionate individuals who are united by their drive to provide the best for the youth of this area.

We provide quality programs focusing on Character & Leadership, Education & Career, Health & Life Skills, Sports, Fitness & Recreation, and The Arts.

We host a variety of fundraisers and events throughout the year to provide opportunities for our youth to learn and grow in safe and fun environments.

A Message from the Executive Director, Al Womack, Jr…

The most dangerous time in a child’s life is between the hours of 3 pm and 8 pm. Those are the times when youth are susceptible to becoming the victim or perpetrator of crime. It’s a frightening reality that we must all be aware of. This is the time when our kids are most likely to get in trouble. We all know the dangers that our youth face today, as trouble is waiting for them the moment that they walk out of the door. Young people are forced to deal with life and death pressures on a regular basis. In our community alone truancy, crime, school expulsions, teen pregnancy are sobering reminders. Our young people are at risk.

The Alton Boys & Girls Club celebrated their playground renovation with a ribbon cutting ceremony on June 8, 2023.
