From Amelia Earhart and Bessie Coleman to women in WWII and from Marie Curie to Jackie Robinson, explore the many frontiers of the early 20th century! Experience a day at the 1904 World’s Fair in St. Louis. Feast on ice cream cones and iced tea. Explore the exhibits and architecture. Listen to music sensations, such as Scott Joplin, Jazz and big bands. Design a plane like Earhart’s and see how far it flies. Stake a claim and build a shack in Hooverville, then create your own hobo language. Challenge yourself with codes like the WWII “Code Girls.” Want more sugar than your WWII ration book allows? We’ll try canning peaches! From trolleys to the Titanic, travel back with us to the early 20th century this summer!
