How do we know how old the universe is? How do we know the universe is continuing to expand? How does information get from space back to Earth? Take a look at the tools astronomers use in their work — telescopes, satellites, rovers and more! Conduct scientific experiments about light and how we harness it to learn about space. Create a 3-D model of a light wave and see how a spectroscope breaks down light. Construct and launch your own model rocket, and design space vehicles with LEGO Robotics! (Students will be divided into smaller groups by grade, and curriculum adjusted accordingly.)
