READ Level 1

This fun, interactive camp is designed to transform reluctant readers into intellectually curious and selfmotivated learners, and to train students in the specific skills needed to succeed in all of their classes. Students will learn the following fundamental reading skills: 1. Identifying textual evidence 2. Recalling and summarizing key details 3. Creating inferences 4. Understanding cause and effect 5. Analyzing literary passages. Level 1 Camp is designed and open for ALL BOYS AND GIRLS entering grades 6, 7 and 8. Level 1 is perfect for reluctant or behind-level readers looking to develop positive and effective reading habits.
