Roll up your sleeves, put on your makers cap, and get ready to create! This is our most hands-on camp! Campers will build their very own geodesic dome large enough for the entire camp to sit in. Who can build the strongest bridge? Can your bridge withstand the shake rattle and roll challenge? Explore the world of birds and beasts with bird feeder building and our super bug investigation. Speaking of birds, what did Hooty the owl have for dinner? A mouse? A Squirrel? A Frog? Kids will dissect owl pellets and reconstruct Hooty’s dinner. Enter the Mad Science chemistry lab and mix, mash, and brew concoctions to create cool sidewalk chalk and bath fizzers! Assemble and control pulleys, levers, catapults, simple machines, and megapinchers! Campers will discover the wonders of photography and make their own chromatography-dyed T-shirt. It’s a week packed with non-stop science fun!

Birds and the Beasts Where do owls live and what do they eat? How do some bugs walk on water? How do ants collect all their food? These questions and more will be answered with a walk on the wild side of things to explore owls, birds and all kinds of bugs.
Crazy Chemistry Become a Mad Science chemist as you learn all about the chemistry that you encounter every dayl. Discover how you can tell if a chemical change has occurred right before your very eyes. Mix, mush and brew together different chemicals.
Jr. Engineers Check out shapes and why they are so strong! Investigate arches, and geodesic domes. Discover which shapes are the strongest. Test loads and build some bridges when you put on an engineer’s hat and learn about structures.
Machine Mania Find out how wedges, screws and levers help us with our daily lives. Use simple machines to complete different tasks like lifting weights. Run through an obstacle course and use teamwork to show how useful simple machines can be.
Shutterbugs How does a camera work? What does a lens do? How do our eyes work? How did the idea of motion pictures start and how did early filmmakers figure out how to make images move? All these questions and more will be answered in this hands-on camp day.
