Choreography & Creativity

Creativity, individuality, and fun are what this class is all about! Students will have the opportunity to explore all aspects of choreographing a piece, from developing a concept through rehearsing and staging. Dancers will focus first on improvisational exercises and choreographic tools designed to inspire creativity, explore movement ideas, and develop the students' artistic statement and style. Then the students will create their own piece, with the instructor acting as a mentor. The last class will be an informal showing of the students' work.
