Balanced program of in-camp activites and overnight canoe camping trip that is commensurate with the campers age and experience. 3rd graders canoe to an island 30 minutes away and camp overnight. 6th graders canoe long the Mississippi River chain for 4 days and 3 nights. 9th graders canoe and camp in the Quetico Provincial Park in Ontario, Canada for 7 days and 6 nights. As boys grow and develop the trips get longer and provide the additional challenge of navigation and shooting whitewater. 12th graders canoe on rivers and lakes in Manitoba for 19-21 days. All counselors are life-guard, CPR and 1st Aid certified. Trip leaders have whitewater traingin and Wilderness First Aid Certification; many with Wilderness First Responder and/or EMT certifications. Full program of in-camp activities available to all campers. Five scheduled activity periods every 2.5 days with large group activities 2 afternoons a week and Super Sunday event for the whole camp to experience on the lake (sailing, canoeing, swimming, fishing). In camp activities focus on individual skill development in sailing, canoeing, swimming, waterskiing/wakeboarding, fishing, climbing, fencing, tennis, soccer, riflery, archery, nature, campcraft.
