CFKD-740 S02. In this course, explore the emerging technology of 3D printing and designing for our 3D world. Go from knowing little to nothing about 3D to having designed and printed their your own 3D object. The class will also expose you to other uses for your three dimensional designs, whether in a video game, your next dream, or a specially designed gift made just for you. No prior knowledge about 3D design or printing is needed for this course. Student will need to have permission from their legal guardian(s) and create an account on tinkercad.com in order to make their 3D designs. A letter with detailed instructions will be sent prior to camp. Completed grades 5-8. Fee includes materials. Gifted certification required. In-person registration opens Saturday, April 6 at STLCC-Meramec CE House, 802 Couch Avenue, Kirkwood MO 63122. Starting April 8, register by phone at 314-984-7777 or at our STLCC-Meramec campus; no mail-in or internet registrations will be accepted. STLCC's program is offered in AM (9-11:35 a.m.) and PM (12:30-3:10) modules with optional early (8-9 a.m.) and late (3:10-5 p.m.) add-on classes. Combine classes to create an AM and/or PM program that fits your child's interests and wonderings. Students must pre-register in person or by phone.
