Behind the Scenes of Media

Ever dream of being a reporter, journalist or news anchor? In this camp you will learn what it takes to run a news show, from reportingthe news and writing the script,to video production. This camp is designed with a hands-on, in-class and out in the field approach (offcampus within walking distance). Campers will research and write news stories, create and produce a segment, learn to operate studio and control room equipment, record and edit video stories, and produce a newscast on the very last day of camp. Campers will need to bring an iPhone or iPad to take pictures and record video for their projects. Links to the newscast will be posted and shared with campers.
