We believe girls do best in an environment of unconditional love, acceptance, and safety. Tomorrow's leaders will need a skill-set that allows for interpersonal effectiveness, emotional intelligence, collaboration with diverse people, and compassionate leadership. Camp Weloki for Girls teaches these skills. Owned and operated by the Jordan family for over 26 years, Dr. Tim and Anne are proud to serve girls in this way. In our learning sessions, girls are taught leadership skills, how to handle teasing, bullying, friendship issues, coping with stress, handling emotions and feelings in healthy ways, life transitions, body image concerns, and taking responsibility for your own happiness. We also have a blast with swimming, canoeing, kayaking, sports, hiking, star-gazing, etc. Girls are encouraged to explore arts & crafts, as well as, participate in outrageous, old-fashioned fun activities. With no cells phones or electronics allowed at camp, there is plenty of downtime to relax and unplug in nature while connecting with peers and counselors. We are proud that our counselor to camper ratio is very low, 2-3 campers per counselor. Therefore, campers get the individual attention and care they need and deserve. We raise funds each year to help those in need obtain scholarships to attend our camp. There is an application process on our website, as well as, online registration.
