Manga for Teens Ages 14–18

Designed for campers who want to advance their drawing in the popular manga style. Campers learn and practice this technique of drawing facial expressions, hands, hair, clothing folds, and objects. Then, we use our skills to develop our own characters, stories, and narrative panels. Japanese manga is utilized in a broad range of genres: action-adventure, romance, sports, comedy, science fiction, or mystery. Student artists explore a genre that reflects their point of view and personal style to create a graphic novel in the manga style.
