Laumeier’s one-week, full-day Art Camps are designed for creative, active kids ages 6 to 12. Campers (divided into groups by age) learn about artists throughout history, explore woodland trails, experiment with a variety of art media and processes, and create amazing works of art! Participants will enjoy field day activities, water play, and find inspiration in Laumeier’s artworks and gallery exhibitions for drawing, painting, sculpting and more. Help your child find their inner artist through a week immersed in art and nature!
Summer Art Camps are taught by experienced art instructors and are designed to encourage artistic development and self-expression through social interaction and individual skill-building experiences. Each week of camp is built around exciting themes so you can explore, experiment, and have fun as you make friends and connect with nature. The average staff-to-camper ratio is 1:7. All materials are provided. Protocols for COVID safety will be in place for the protection of all campers and their families. Laumeier Sculpture Park offers tuition assistance for its Education Programs. This assistance is based on financial need and is awarded on a first-come-first-served basis.
Through guidance from experienced art instructors and guest artists, participants of the Laumeier Teen Art Program are encouraged to self-navigate using the entire artistic process, from idea to final work of art. Teens explore the park's 105 acre campus' woodlands and outdoors sculptures throughout each two-week session. Some highlights of the program include: Collaborating as a team to produce large-scale pieces, working with professional artists, gaining college-prep experience preparing a professional portfolio, meeting teens who share the same interest in art, and applingy gallery exhibit practices to display finished projects at the Teen Art Show. The Teen Art Show displays work from all sessions and collaborations with professional artists. All materials are provided. Protocols for COVID safety will be in place for the protection of all campers and their families. Laumeier Sculpture Park offers tuition assistance for its Education Programs.
