Artificial Intelligence is an exciting new forefront of technology that has the potential to push society forward in ways never seen before. At AI Camp, we explore exciting AI topics while getting engaging and fun hands on experience with artificially intelligent robots, programs, and code! Here are some of the ways our campers will explore artificial intelligence: • Interacting with and learning about Artificially intelligent programs: Learn how these programs are coded, how they learn, what makes them intelligent, and what all of this can be used for! These programs span everything from Chess engines to Chat bots, and digital assistants to music-composing AIs. • Meet Artificially Intelligent Robots: Campers interact with CHiP and Cozmo, our friendly robots to gain hands on experience in how AI can be used in creating small pet-like robots with personalities. Learn what makes them artificially intelligent and why they are given such friendly personalities! Campers learn how to program Cozmo using the built-in Code Lab software installed on our tablets. Advanced campers can also learn how to use Python to program Cozmo for more complex behaviors such as voice command and conversational speech. • Scratch AI programs: Experiment with easy to understand Scratch AI programs to gain a simple understanding of how AI programs are written. Maybe even write your own! • Program your own virtual battle bot: Who will prevail in the virtual Robo-arena? Use Java code to design your own behavior for your robot and then watch it battle in simulations against other premade robots and robots from other campers. Whose robot will be the last one standing in the ring? No programming experience required! • Path Finding AI Game: Advanced campers with some programming background will learn how to make an AI program in Gamemaker that will find a path around obstacles. This gives valuable hands on experience in designing AI programs!
