Beginning Ballet & Modern Combo - July Session

This class offers a fun mix of beginner ballet and modern skills and concepts in a non-traditional format and is a great bridge between our early childhood and elementary programs. Students combine activities, choreography, barre, center work, movement across the floor, and stretches in order to build their kinesthetic and spatial awareness, rhythm, musicality, sequential memory, balance, and stamina. Modern dance offers the widest range of self-expression and training of any dance form. Modern dance can be athletic, graceful, or explosive. A wide variety of music is used as support for the diversity in movement. You'll love this expressive form. Ballet shoes required. Class meets a total of 6 sessions - twice a week (Tuesday and Thursday) for 3 consecutive weeks.
