Oil Painting for the Young Artist

We will learn techniques: color mixing, underpainting, identifying shadows and highlights, impressionist techniques, painting with tools alternative to a paintbrush, painting on surfaces other than canvas (wood, drywall, frames, Plexi) Painting can be exciting and fun. But it can also be intimidating and stressful to an inexperienced artist. After this class, the students will see the wide array of possibilities when it comes to the medium of acrylic paint. They will also learn several techniques that will give them the confidence to create paintings they are proud of. Prices displayed are non-member prices.
