Speak UP! Ages 8-10

Campers express issues they care about as they create and perform individual and collaborative spoken word poetry. They develop their voice as they share ideas and engage across arts disciplines using imagery, music, and movement as they devise their work. Spoken word is an innately powerful mode of creative writing that encourages students to express their ideas, experiences, and opinions. Writers Speak UP as they share their thoughts and ideas in a spoken word slam on the final day of camp.
