Since the beginning of skateboarding, the idea of a custom deck has always been desirable. Students look at a range of contemporary artists, such as KAWS, Nick Walker, and Haroshi who create skateboard art, and the various influences of graphic design, pop culture, and graffiti. They explore mediums, including spray paint, acrylic, and print, before creating their own deck design on a skateboard they can use to either hang on a wall or ride.
