Camp Courage is a 5-day, 4-night, overnight camp for children ages 6-11 who are grieving the death of someone significant. Camp will be held at Camp Wartburg in Waterloo, IL. Camp is a safe, comfortable, fun experience where grieving kids can connect. There is no fee to attend Camp Courage, yet we need financial support to make camp happen. The full value of attending Camp Courage per camper is $750. Every family with an accepted camper will be expected to make a donation to the best of their ability. No child is turned away because the family is unable to make a donation. We will host summer camp activities like fishing, arts & crafts, swimming, rock climbing, zip-lining, canoeing, messy play, sports, etc. and will also facilitate grief support groups while at camp. Applications for 2018 are available now. Each child will need a two-part application to be completed by a parent or guardian. After Annie’s Hope receives the completed application, there will be an interview process for all new potential, campers.
