SUMMER ART CAMPS- Laumeier offers one-week Summer Art Camps in half-day morning sessions for ages 4 to 6 and full-day sessions for ages 6 to 12. Campers (divided into small groups by age) will experiment with a variety of art media and processes, explore new ideas and create amazing works of art! Participants learn about art in a camp setting with field day activities, gallery exhibitions, exploration of the Park grounds and woodland trails finding inspiration in Laumeier’s artworks for drawing, painting, sculpting and more! Laumeier Teen Art Program is for ages 13-17 offer three two-week full day sessions. The Teen Art Program is designed to explore who you are as an artist in a fun and relaxing atmosphere in outdoor and indoor art studio setting. With the help of art instructors and visiting artists, teens have an opportunity to learn how to develop an idea and see it come to life using a variety of materials, techniques and our amazing sculpture collection. Build a portfolio while you explore endless possibilities that Laumeier has to offer with your creativity, mentoring, visiting artists and new friends. There is no limit to what teens can create given an environment of high-level instruction and support. Our 2020 Global Awareness initiative will be integrated into our curriculum using STEAM projects that help support the environment and world around us. Scholarships for education programs are available through the Laumeier Sculpture Park Education Scholarship Fund. Assistance is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis and cannot be guaranteed for all applicants. Scholarships are granted solely on the basis of financial need and are awarded on a sliding scale. Assistance is granted regardless of race, gender, religion, disability, sexual orientation or nationality. Laumeier cannot guarantee space in a program without a completed Scholarship Application Form AND Registration Form. Applicants must submit a new Scholarship Application Form on an annual basis.
